I met my first Golden many years ago and was hooked! I planned to have my very own one day. We started our search at shelters and rescues. It was not easy, and after a year of disappointment, I chose to find a breeder. The more I learned, the more I wanted my first Golden to have a good healthy start. It took time to find a breeder. Being very selective of the puppy parents and their puppy program I could not find a local breeder. But yes, I found my girl! Pictured here, Pink Girl, is our Daisy!

The rescue and shelter route was the first challenge. These were our obstacles-not perfect enough for a Golden rescue or shelter, not being fast enough to message and visit the one dog, the facilities lack of history about the dog or puppy, and unexpected issues when starting a life with a sometimes troubled pet.

We did not find Daisy in Texas, but in Minnesota! Finding a local breeder that met my criteria, such as, DNA testing, hips, elbow, heart, and eyes, at minimum was difficult. I also, wanted to follow my puppies life journey from birth to pick up age. It was priceless watching the litter grow up and make their little achievements, like first steps, first mush, first bath and other new experiences.

This moved us to begin our breeding program in 2017, to help families find their next family member!

A & J, who are they? A family business, however we began, as Annette & Jonathan. Jonathan is our special needs adult son. He loves to work and wanted something to call his own. This is our way of paving a way for him to be independent and proud of the things he can do! He is my puppy supervisor, my go getter, he loves on the puppies, brings them water, food, and treats, and helps in so many ways, especially with the big dogs as well. This is the A & J way!
